Read the RoadmapZFordDev Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy describes the current DocsHub website, the general boundary for local ZFordDev applications, and how future hosted services will be documented. Project-specific privacy notices provide the more precise rules for individual applications.
DocsHub website today
DocsHub is a statically generated documentation website. The current repository does not implement:
- user accounts or authentication;
- forms, comments, or document submission;
- billing or payments;
- first-party analytics;
- advertising trackers;
- application telemetry; or
- a DocsHub cookie system.
Visiting DocsHub sends the network information required to deliver the requested page to the hosting provider. This can include the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, requested path, and request time. DocsHub is served through Cloudflare, which may process request and security data as the hosting and delivery provider. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy terms and the site’s hosting configuration.
Search and browser storage
DocsHub downloads /search-index.json from the same site and performs searches
inside the browser. Search terms are not submitted to a DocsHub search service.
The five most recent search terms are stored in the browser’s local storage
under zdocs_search_history. This history remains on that browser until it is
cleared through browser controls or site-data removal. DocsHub does not receive
the stored search history.
Third-party resources and links
Some pages load resources from other providers:
- The header loads a Ko-fi support image from
storage.ko-fi.comon every page. - The homepage loads the Ko-fi support-widget script from
storage.ko-fi.com.
Loading these resources makes a request from the browser to Ko-fi. Ko-fi can receive normal request metadata and may apply its own cookies or policies. Selecting the Ko-fi button or another external link takes the visitor to that provider’s website, where that provider’s privacy policy applies.
Other external destinations—including GitHub, project websites, stores, and download pages—are contacted only when a visitor chooses their link, unless a page explicitly embeds a resource as listed above.
DocsHub does not sell personal information or share it with advertising services.
Local ZFordDev software
Local-first applications do not send documents to DocsHub merely because the application is installed or because its documentation is hosted here. Local files remain under the application’s documented behavior unless the user starts an explicit network action such as opening an external link, checking for an update, using a package store, or using a future publishing feature.
Individual applications can have different storage and network behavior. Their project-specific privacy notice takes precedence for those details. For example, the SnapDock Privacy Policy documents SnapDock’s local files, preferences, links, and update requests.
Future hosted and publishing services
DocsHub does not currently accept public submissions or provide a hosted account service. Authentication, SnapDock publishing, submission review, hosted projects, and billing are Capybara plans rather than current Wombat features.
Before any such service launches, its privacy notice must identify the data it collects, why it is required, where it is processed, applicable third parties, retention, and available user controls. This policy does not claim that a planned service already exists.
Your controls
Visitors can:
- clear DocsHub search history by removing this site’s local browser data;
- block third-party resources through browser privacy controls or extensions;
- avoid external providers by not selecting their links; and
- use project-specific controls described in each application’s documentation.
Blocking Ko-fi resources does not prevent the documentation itself from loading.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when DocsHub introduces a material change to its data handling, embeds a new third party, or launches a hosted or publishing service. The updated date at the top identifies the current published version.
Contact
Questions or corrections about this policy can be submitted through the DocsHub issue tracker. Do not post passwords, private documents, access tokens, or other sensitive personal data in a public issue. Use a project’s documented private security-reporting channel for a security vulnerability.
