DocsHub is undergoing a major overhaul.

We know the documentation is inconsistent, outdated in places, and not aligned with the new ZFordDev Standards. A full rebuild is now underway to deliver clearer structure, more accurate information, and dramatically improved indexing. Expect significant improvements across the entire DocsHub over the coming weeks.

Introduction

If you run into issues, have questions, or want to report a bug, this page explains how to get help with SnapDock. Support is intentionally simple and direct — no accounts, no portals, no complicated systems.

Contact

For general questions, feedback, or assistance, you can reach the developer directly at:

[email protected]

This is the fastest way to get help or share suggestions.

A dedicated Discord support channel is planned. Once available, a small team will be on standby to help with troubleshooting and general questions.

Troubleshooting

Most issues fall into a few common categories:

The app won’t open

  • Try reinstalling the latest version.
  • Ensure your OS is supported (Windows, Linux .deb, or Linux .AppImage).

PDF export looks incorrect

  • SnapDock does not insert natural page breaks.
  • Always review the PDF before printing.

Tabs not saving

  • Each tab must be saved individually.
  • Look for the save‑state indicator (red, yellow, green).

File tree not showing

  • The file tree only appears when a folder is opened.
  • Use Open Folder instead of Open File.

If an issue persists, feel free to report it.

Reporting Issues

You can report bugs or unexpected behavior through:

When reporting a problem, include:

  • Your operating system
  • SnapDock version
  • What you were doing when the issue occurred
  • Steps to reproduce the issue

Clear reports help improve stability for everyone.
